Can my Business Survive the Age of AI?

Artificial Intelligence has popped up everywhere. It’s hard to search, browse, or even send an email without some type of AI push. Since the DotCom Boom/Buble, many have searched for a product that would make them money without any effort.

AI is pushed to be the solution. Is it?

Business owners aim to create their own automations using premade AI systems. Many are beginning to notice the subscription costs eating away at their bottom line. Do you need so many bots? Is it better than just hiring experts?

AI and other technologies aim to create magic. We cannot make gold from lead. The human element is still vital even with automations. There is no super computer that can create organic material. Everything is a regurgitation. You know what creates organically? Humans!

I do not use AI because of my own preferences. The damage to the environment, and also the potential cognitive issues concern me. Human connection is based on genuine conversation. AI removes the genuinity.

“Far more say AI will worsen rather than improve people’s ability to form meaningful relationships (50% vs. 5%),” according to Pew Research

Once a customer or client senses that uncanny valley of AI, there is no coming back. Customers habitually rely on trust to make their first and recurring purchases. If you’re going to use AI, MIT suggests disclosing at minimum.

“46 percent trust a brand less if they find out they used AI for services assumed to be human-driven,” according to MIT

I have no concern that my business will survive the age of AI because I prioritise client trust. I have no desire to cheapen my services in any way. I think the time taken to write something creates a better result.
